Honestly, I started with C.S. Lewis and then slowly realized in order to understand his writing more deeply, I needed to understand the classics. So I found references in Lewis' works and started picking them off from there. Those classics led to me other classics, etc. No real thought out plan to tackle them other than to follow the references I found most interesting.
